The members of the Sector Dialogue Automotive Industry have developed a series of guidelines for the five core elements of human rights due diligence (policy statement, risk analysis, measures, reporting and grievance mechanism).
The guidelines are self-contained and fully address the NAP requirements. They also cover and specifically reference the statutory obligations set out in Germany’s Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG). The guidelines focus on implementation and can be used as both a toolbox and a roadmap to support each enterprise’s own continuous process of implementing human rights due diligence.
The guidelines were adopted by the committee of members of the sector dialogue on 29 June 2022.
